Dr. Koehler provides natural therapeutic horsemanship sessions through groundwork with miniature horses:

    What is Natural Therapeutic Horsemanship?

    Therapeutic Horsemanship uses:

--- The equine/human relationship to teach empowerment, resilience, and balance responsibility/freedom

--- Principles of the herd to show how we operate in relationships (helpful and not so helpful patterns)

--- Breathwork to move through intense emotions such as anxiety, frustration, and disappointment

--- Horses healing energy to soothe our nervous system and return to a state of calm

Dr. Koehler has studied different natural horsemanship approaches to create her own application for therapeutic work. In addition to therapy sessions, Dr. Koehler provides faith-based mentorship for children and pre-teens who may benefit from coaching and guidance in a fun, outdoor setting, loving on our adorable miniature horses!

  • Charlie Kuzmic

You’d never know it from my east coast education and my career in auction houses, but I grew up in Oklahoma and spent a lot of time on my grandparent's cattle ranch building relationships with horses. I was always mesmerized by their power and throughout my life continued to find refuge in the ride. It wasn’t until working in Amsterdam as a lonely expat that I took formal riding lessons. I was in a desperate search for something and unsure of my path. With every interaction with the horses, I gained a deeper understanding.

I began booking sessions with an Equus coach when life found me stuck in a major fork in the road. My sessions didn’t provide a blinking arrow telling me which way to go; instead, they revealed how I got there. With each visit, I learned more about myself, my confidence or lack thereof, and all the reasons why my head and heart couldn’t make a decision. Facing my fears in the presence of a 1500 pound animal was more than a symbolic endeavor. It gave me a safe space to test my boundaries in the midst of a powerful protector. With the guidance of my Equus coach, I found the tools to navigate my anxiety, trust myself, guide my life, and find peace in my future.

In 2019, I purchased Butterscotch, my friend and companion for life. I trained at the prestigious Koelle Institute for Equus Coaching™ and became a certified Equus coach soon after. My goal through coaching is to provide life-changing empowerment.

At EquiHope, I am your coach, and the horse is your partner. In this arena, you will learn more about who you are, what you're capable of, and how to fine-tune your energy to match what you want to receive from everyone and everything in your life.

  • Elisa Beasley & Family

Elisa can often be found out and about working with different groups who are engaged in coordinating programs that serve community needs. She is usually with her husband and 8 year old daughter, as they travel like a little pack. “Come on little family”, you can hear her daughter lead!

She is passionate about God, Family, Country and Community. Having grown up in El Paso, TX, she often tells people that she is going to write a book called, “Momma never told me we were poor” because she remembers consistently serving, feeding and providing for others. She didn’t realize how poor her childhood was until she became older. Her parents taught her a life of service in the way they lived.

She is also an accidental artist. She started painting as a way to give her grief a voice when her daughter passed away and it turned out she had a unique gift! Her paintings have turned into a place that identifies the words many can’t find when tragedy hits.

She serves on several boards and committee including City Center Churches, Pilot Point Education Foundation, Positive Pilot Point, Pilot Point PTO, North Texas Mayor’s Council, and now EquiHope Equestrian.
